Star in the Valley extends tasting room hours till 11 PM for wine and stargazing on August 19. A new moon makes for dark skies and a perfect opportunity for night sky viewing. Visit the winery to watch the stars rise while enjoying award winning wines. Outside food and picnics are welcome.
Star in the Valley is uniquely situated on the foothills of Little North Mountain, offering wide views of the sky above with little obstructions.
Dark skies are a natural resource. To help protect them, and combat the ill effects of light pollution, Star in the Valley will donate $1 of every bottle sold on these evenings to Dark Sky International, who work to conserve starry sky parks, communities, and other places around the world.
